We understand that medicating your pet may be difficult if fasting is required.
If necessary, you may give your pet’s medication with a small amount of food.

***If your pet is going under sedation or anesthesia (this includes x-rays and/or any surgical procedure), please consult with one of our doctors no later than the day before to find out if any medications your pet may be on should be given or withheld the day of the procedure.***
 
 
Fasting for Sedation/Anesthesia
  • 12 hour fast:  No food after 8:00pm.
  • Please leave water available until 6:00am to prevent dehydration.
  • Diabetic Patients:  No food or insulin the morning of procedure.
